Using the animations provided by Foto Master:
Foto Master has provided several new animations in the Preset Pack, which can be found in C: drive -> MirrorMeBooth -> Animations, and categorized them as Dynamic_Text.
Each animation in this folder has a corresponding text file of the same name and we will need to edit that text file in order to customize the animation
For this Article, we will use the Dynamic1 animation and we can see the animations file and the corresponding text file in the image below:
Now, let's see the original animation with the three text lines we can change (the 2 names and the date).
All we need to do to change these lines is to open the corresponding text file in the preset pack and edit these three lines:
*If your PC does not do so automatically make sure to open the text file using the Notepad app
Whatever we replace each line with will be placed in the exact same position in the animation.
It is important that when we change the text to keep the order of the lines.
So let’s replace the text in the above photo with the following information:
Once the text is updated all you need to do is save the changes to the document and run your preset to see the finished result.
This is how our animation now looks:
As simple as that!
Creating custom animations with Dynamic Text:
If you wish to create your own custom animation that has this cool feature in it you can follow this Video Tutorial.
Here are the steps summarized from the video:
1. Open Adobe Animate software and click "Create New"
2. Set the Width and Height to 1080 x 1920 (make sure that the "Platform Type" is set to "ActionScript 3.0") and click "Create"
3. Add your text (make sure that it is "Dynamic Text" and that under Render you have "Use device fonts") and edit it to your liking.
For that text line, make sure to change the name of your Instance Name to be dt_1
4. Repeat step #3 and for each new text line, change the Instance Name accordingly (second text line to be dt_2, third text line to be dt_3, and so on)
5. Click File -> Publish Settings, remove the check box from "HTML Wrapper", choose when you wish to save the file, and give it a name. Press on "Publish" and then on "ok".
6. Open the Dynamic_Text folder in your preset pack (This PC -> C: drive -> MirrorMeBooth -> Animations) and paste the animation file that you created.
7. Create, in the same folder, a txt file with the exact same name as your animation
8. Write your text in the document - each line represents the text line you created in your animation and press Save.
9. Open the Foto Master Photo Booth software, go to the Workflow tab, load your animation and press Save.
You can always edit the txt file with different text and once you click to save it the animation will change accordingly!!
That's it! See how easy it is?
