Hi owners!

Want to help a friend with his workflow? Want to design an awesome Photo Layout on your home computer and send it to your business computer? This article is for you.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

General:

First things first: the preset is simply an XML. file located inside your preset pack. When you're transferring a workflow or a Photo Layout design, you are transferring the entire preset's XML. file. For example, if I want to transfer the "Booth closed" from computer #1 to computer #2, I will transfer the "Booth_Closed" XML file that is in C:\MirrorMeBooth:

Transferring a Workflow:

When creating a workflow, other than adding features, you are also adding animations\photo files. When loading an animation, either if it's from the preset pack provided by Foto Master or if it's a custom file that you created, the Mirror Me software uses the full directory.

For example, my first animation in the workflow is Button. Its location in the presets pack is Animation > Touch To Start > Button.

The path that will be implemented in the software is:  C:\MirrorMeBooth\Animations\Touch_To_Start

By Pressing Ctrl+Space, you can see the directory for each animation state:

When you will transfer this workflow from computer #1 to computer #2 - You will need to make sure computer #2 has this animation in the same path.

But if it doesn't have it - it's not a problem. You can transfer the animation file and download it to computer #2 and then re-load the animation to the workflow. Pres on the [...] button and browse the file from your computer. As long as the file exists on your computer (not on a flash drive), means as long as the directory exists - the workflow will run smoothly.

Of course, that when using custom files (i.e. files that are not in the preset pack provided by Foto Master), you will need to transfer them together with the preset's xml. file as well.

To make things more simple, we advise locating your custom files in the designated folders in the prests pack (overlays to the Overlays folder, animations to the Animations folder etc.) in both computer #1 and #2 - and that way you will not have to make any further adjustments.

Don't forget to save your changes.

Transferring a Photo Layout:

This is basically the same as when creating a workflow.

As you can see in the following screenshot, in the Photo Layout we have two kinds of elements - Visual Feature elements (DSLR Photo, Signature) and Photo elements. The Visual Feature elements are added automatically to the Photo Layout when added into your workflow - no need to worry about that. The Text and QR features are added via the Photo Layout tab as well - means that there are no files to transfer from one computer to another when transferring the preset.

The files that require to be transferred together with your preset are the image files.

By pressing on the [...] button, you can see the file's directory in the Image file section. So this overlay's directory is: C:/MirrorMeBooth/Overlays/Wedding_Flowers/fotomaster_DSLR_2.png

Just like in the workflow, when you will transfer the Photo Layout from computer #1 to computer #2 - You will need to make sure computer #2 has the photo files in the same directory.

But if it doesn't have it - it's not a problem as well. You can transfer the photo file and download it to computer #2 and then re-load it to the Photo Layout. Pres on the [...] button and browse the file from your computer. As long as the file exists on your computer (not on a flash drive), means as long as the directory exists - the Photo Layout will not need any adjustments.

Of course, that when using custom files (i.e. files that are not in the preset pack provided by Foto Master), you will need to transfer them together with the preset's XML. file as well.

Regardless of whether you transferred a preset or used a preset on the same computer - we always recommend running a test session for your preset, to make sure everything is running smoothly.
