1. Connect the LED ring to a USB port (the LED ring can be connected to a USB hub).

2. Open the Control Panel > View devices and printers > Croll down to "Unspecified" to see your LED Ring's COM port number. This is how we know the LED Ring is detected properly by the computer.*

*If the LED ring is recognized as USB- 2.0 - Please contact the support team.

2. Open the Foto Master Photo Booth software.

3. Go to the Globals tab > LED ring.

4. Make sure Auto Detect COM Port is enabled, (you can also uncheck this box and manually set the COM port if you prefer). Please note that the COM auto-detection option is available in V9 and up. For V8 and down, you will need to change the COM port manually.

5. Add LED ring Start and LED Ring Stop feature states to your workflow, select the LED lights color, speed, and effect.

That's it! Look at the camera and take that fab photo!

Troubleshooting:

1. Make sure your LED Ring is detected by your computer in Control Panel > View Devices and Printers (see instructions above).

If the LED Ring is not recognized (with a COM port number):

  • Check the USB cable is connected to both your computer and the Arduino box.
  • Make sure your LED ring connections is correct. Follow this article for more instruction.
  • Try to connect the LED Ring to a different USB port.
  • If the LED Ring is connected to a USB hub, try to connect it directly to the computer instead, as it is possible the USB hub is faulty.
  • Try to replace the USB cord, it may be that the current one you're using is faulty.

**If you're using V7 and below, two .dll files are necessary to be installed. Please contact the support team to get these files.

If the LED Ring is recognized:

  • Make sure you have LED Ring Start\Stop feature states in your workflow.
  • Make sure you have the Auto Detect COM Port option enabled in the Globals tab.
  • Make sure you're working on Administrator mode. To do that, right-click on the software's icon that is on your desktop > Properties > Compatibility > enable Run this programe as administrator.

  • Try to restart the software.
  • You can also disable the COM port automatic detection and try to set it up manually.

If after checking all of the above and your LED ring is still not working, contact our support team we will take it from there!
