Hi all!
This article will show you what a cool effect you can get when setting up both the Green Screen and the Live View feature all at once (available in V11 and up)!
This article will concentrate on the Spire Photo Booth setup for this feature, but you can, of course, use it with your own custom setup.
Spire Photo Booth - Physical Setup:
- Open the camera's mechanism and position it as seen in the photo below.
- Place your green mat\sheet underneath and make sure the camera does not capture what is outside of the green surface.
TABLE OF CONTENTS
The Animation:
- Supported formats: .swf, .mp4
- The animation resolution should be the same as your screen's.
- For Spire Photo Booth: 1080x2560
- For other Mirror Booths: 1080x1920
- For Spire Photo Booth: 1080x2560
- The animation\video should be loopable (ends and begins the same frame so it looks continuous).
*In the following example we have created a flying carpet animation. The green surface was made for convenience matters only and is not mandatory.
The Photo Layout:
1. Prepare the background. Like with any other Green Screen set up, create a background that matches your animation (you can take a frame capture from the animation\video made).
The background's resolution should be the same as your printout size. For 4x6 paper, we will use 1200x1800 background. If you're using a different paper size, you can assist with this article.
2. Place the photo element (in purple) where you'd like the user to be positioned when taking the photo (in this case, the flying carpet).
3. The photo element's ratio will be 2:3 by default. We recommend cropping it to a 1:1 ratio to leave room for the rest of the background to keep it close to what we see on the screen.
a. Click on the photos' [...] button
b. Uncheck the "Keep Aspect Ratio" box
c. Set the Aspect Ratio to 1.0
d. Fill Mode: Scale
e. Scale Mode: Zoom
Feature Settings:
In the Features tab, go to Live View and:
1. Select the desired camera that is being used.
2. Check Enable Green Screen
The Workflow:
The following workflow is dedicated for this feature only. You can, of course, build your workflow as you'd like, while following the next instructions (marked in red below):
1. Add "Live View Start" feature state.
2. Add your Animation. In the workflow presented below, we set our animation's next state trigger to be Touch and we used a KeyFob to apply the trigger. This allows the guest to take the position before the photo is taken, with no time limitation.
3. Make sure to have a "Save Final Photo" feature state once you have applied all of the desired features on the final photo (Signature, dynamic background [if applied], etc.).
