This article will explain to you how to use the Email feature with the Foto Master Photo Booth software.

Adding the Feature to the Workflow:

1. In the Workflow tab, add a Feature state > Email.


2. Place the Email feature state after the Save Final Photo feature state.



 3. Start the preset.


When the workflow gets to the Email feature state, a keyboard will be presented on the screen, where you will be able to type the email address you'd like to send the files. 

Hit Send to send the file or Skip, to skip the email option.



Settings:

You can edit your Email Feature setting in the Features Tab > Email


 


Email Vertical Position: Choose the displayed Vertical position of the Email Feature from the drop-down menu (you can choose between top, middle, and bottom).


Send Photos, Send Videos, Send GIF from Photos, Send Burst GIF Send Video from Photos (if saved), Send Raw Photos*: Select the types of digital media you want to include in the email sent through the software.


Delete Final Photo when Email is Sent: If this option is selected, final photos will be deleted once the email is sent.


Enable Sending Multiple Emails: Check this box to allow the user to send the email to multiple addresses (see instructions below).**



In the Email feature screen, type in the first email address you'd like to send the email to, and then hit "Add Email". The first email will be sent, and the next one will be sent after adding another number and hitting the "Add Email" or "Send" button.




Show Skip Button (from V13): Check this box to allow the user to press the Skip button.


Show Disclaimer: The disclaimer, if selected, will appear before sending the email.


Bypass State on Disclaimer Disagree: If the user disagrees with the disclaimer, the next state in the workflow will be skipped.


Subject: Type the message you would like to appear as the subject of the email.


Message: Type a message to send as the body of the email.


Disclaimer: The disclaimer that will be presented before sending an email, if the “Show Disclaimer” box is checked.

Show Privacy Checkbox: Will add a privacy checkbox to the Disclaimer:



Collect Emails: This option allows you to collect the users’ email addresses while using the Foto Master Photo Booth software during your event. You can choose between the “Auto Collect Emails” option, the “Collect Emails if Allowed by User” option, and the “Do not collect Emails” option. If you select the “Collect Emails if Allowed by User”, another checkbox will be added to the disclaimer:


If the collecting emails option is enabled, an “emails.csv” file will be created under the event folder listing all the email addresses entered in the system and the number of their corresponding media files. If you don't have an internet connection during the event, the software will automatically send the emails once connected to the internet again. 

*Note that the email collection list will be created per event and not per preset. 


 Email Icons Directory:



Select the folder that contains the email icons you would like to use. The default folder is located in C:/MirrorMeBooth/Assets/Email/ and contains all the email icons provided by us. You can create a new folder with your own custom icons and change the email icons directory to its location. You can also change the characters each icon represents by replacing the current text to your desired one.

You can edit your Email Feature setting in the Globals Tab > Email as well:



Email Service PHP: Foto Master provides a script that can be used on your server. Using this script will allow you to send emails from your own server. To achieve that, you need to make sure that your server supports PHP mail() function and that an email server is installed on it. For more information on what you should check in your server, please contact the support team.


Note that if you're using Foto Master's server, the file size limit is 8 MB.


From Email: The “from” address of your email.


To have the ability to change the "from" email and sender's name, you should use your own email service - please refer to the software user manual for more details. 


Note that by changing the "from" email address, you are only changing the email address that appears as the sender's email and will also not take any effect while using Foto Master's email server.  



Troubleshooting:

1. First, you need to make sure you have the Email PHP service in the Email Feature settings.
You can use our testing server (email our support team if you can't find it) or your own server.


2. Make sure the Email Feature is after the Save Final Photo feature in the workflow.

3. Make sure you have a stable internet connection at your event venue. If you're not sure, we recommend getting a hotspot in advance.


4. Make sure the "Auto Collect Emails" option is enabled.
If the "Auto Collect Emails" option is enabled, the software will automatically create a CSV. file in your Event folder, in the preset pack.
That option assures you that all the emails are saved and pending and will be sent once you have a good internet connection.
